ADVANCED IT SERVICES & CUSTOMIZED IT SOLUTIONS FOR BUSINESSES

Why NIS2 Compliance Matters for Your Business

NIS2 is not optional. If your organisation falls under its scope, compliance is a legal obligation.

Non-compliance can result in:

  • Regulatory fines

  • Mandatory corrective actions

  • Operational restrictions

  • Reputational damage

  • Personal liability for management

More importantly, NIS2 aims to reduce the real business impact of cyber incidents, which continue to rise across all industries.

What NIS2 Really Means for Businesses

At its core, NIS2 requires organisations to move from reactive security to structured, risk-based cyber resilience.

This means businesses must be able to:

  • Understand their cyber risks in a business context

  • Implement proportionate and documented security measures

  • Detect and respond to incidents quickly and effectively

  • Demonstrate oversight and decision-making at management level

For many organisations, this is less about buying new technology and more about aligning people, processes, and systems under a clear security framework.

What is NIS2?

NIS2 (Network and Information Security Directive 2) is the updated EU cybersecurity directive issued by the European Union.

It replaces the original NIS Directive and significantly strengthens:

  • Cyber risk management requirements

  • Incident reporting obligations

  • Supply-chain security

  • Governance and leadership accountability

NIS2 shifts cybersecurity from a purely technical issue to a business-critical governance responsibility.

NIS2 applies to Essential and Important Entities, depending on sector, size, and role in society or the economy.

NIS2 – Commonly Affected Sectors

  • Energy, utilities, and water

  • Healthcare and life sciences

  • Transport and logistics

  • Financial services and insurance

  • Digital infrastructure and IT service providers

  • Manufacturing of critical products

  • Public sector organisations and municipalities

Even if you are unsure, NIS2 may still apply through:

  • Supply-chain dependencies

  • Customer or partner requirements

  • Cross-border EU operations

If there is uncertainty, a NIS2 assessment is strongly recommended.

From Regulation to Business Readiness

NIS2 also expands its scope significantly, bringing more sectors and organisations under regulatory oversight.

As a result, many businesses are now subject to cybersecurity obligations for the first time, while others face stricter enforcement and higher expectations than before.
Compliance is no longer about meeting minimum technical standards.

It is about being able to prove preparedness, resilience, and responsible governance when regulators, partners, or customers ask.

NIS2 FAQ'S

  • A network is the system that connects all your devices – computers, servers, phones, printers and more – so they can communicate and share data.

It also connects your office to the internet, cloud services and remote teams.

A strong and secure network ensures that your business runs smoothly every day – from email and file access to cloud apps and internal systems.

At ZBRIQ, we help you build and manage that network – so that it runs reliably in the background and lets your team focus on what they do best.

  • Your network is what keeps everything connected – people, devices, data and systems. It allows your team to work efficiently, share information, access tools and stay online.

Without a secure and stable network:

    • Communication breaks down

    • Productivity slows down

    • Systems become vulnerable to cyber threats

    • Cloud services and remote access can stop working

A well-designed network is more than technology – it’s the invisible backbone that helps your business run smoothly, securely and without interruption.

  • We support businesses of all sizes – from small offices to growing companies. Whether you are based in Borås, Stockholm, Jönköping, Malmö or anywhere else in Sweden, we tailor network solutions to suit your environment, security needs and future plans.

  • Absolutely. We don’t just build networks – we optimize, secure, and document existing ones. If you already have an installation that needs tweaking, we’ll assess what’s working, identify vulnerabilities, and improve performance without disrupting your business.

  • We offer both. Many of our customers choose long-term support, including 24/7 monitoring, firewall management, DNS management, and proactive maintenance. However, we are also happy to help with one-time installations or upgrades if that is what you need.

  • LAN (Local Area Network) refers to your physical network – cables, switches and routers – while WiFi provides wireless connectivity. At ZBRIQ, we ensure that both are configured to operate securely and efficiently, without dead zones or bottlenecks.

  • Network monitoring allows us to keep an eye on the health, performance, and security of your system in real time. If a problem or threat arises, we can detect it and respond immediately – often before it impacts your business. It’s proactive protection that gives you peace of mind.

  • We use advanced tools and services to detect and block Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. These are attempts to flood your network with traffic and take it offline. Our protection keeps your business running – no matter what’s thrown at it.

  • We take care of your Domain Name System (DNS) so your business stays online, fast, and protected from DNS-based threats. Our managed DNS service includes filtering, security layers, redundancy, and performance tuning - so you don't have to worry about it.
